2004
When I think about giving birth to my 3rd baby I go right back to when it all began, this whole mommy thing.
I was 25 years old, married for a little over 2 years and we hadn’t joined the military yet (which you can guess based on Ben’s haircut.)
My labor was amazing yet painful. I was able to give birth at a free standing birth center which I loved. I labored walking around the parking lot & in a tub. I gave birth on a full size bed. I still remember a few hours after DW was born. Family was in the other room and it was just Ben, me and the baby. DW was laying on the bed sucking his finger. And I remember looking at him in awe and reazling everything was different now. We were parents. This was our son.
Now over 6 years later I am getting ready for baby boy #3. I am not sure I have it in me to go natural again. I don’t know what it will be like to have 3 kids instead of just 2. I don’t know how it will be to have a newborn and then 2 older boys. I don’t know what it will be like to give birth in a military hospital. I am older too and this whole pregnancy I have felt the difference. It will be a whole new adventure. But it started back in 2004 with the birth of a little baby boy and I will always cherish those memories.
And having Ben there will be amazing. His missed AJ’s birth so the last time we did this together was in 2004. I am so excited he will be the one to hold my hand and get me through it. And he will be right there when the baby is born and get to meet his son right away. This will be our last child. The “baby” of the family and I can’t wait to meet the little guy.

I'm sure you will do just great! I'm so happy the hubby will be there with you again this time, though. 2004 is a big jump – is he ready?
You're almost there almost there almost there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe our new lil guy is gonna be 3 months on the 15th. Already!!! He's gonna be sitting up soon, and eating jar food, and crawling, and walking, and running, and then moving out! *sigh*
Anyway, I gave you an award on my blog http://www.militarywivessaving.com/2010/11/versat… yuppers the same dang award we all get LMAO, but hey, it's all good
Thanks so much, off to check it out
The days and weeks leading up to birth are so exciting. I'm excited for you to meet baby boy #3 too! I remember being in the hospital, and despite all the things I disliked about the hospital, I liked having a roommate because we got to share labor stories and thoughts about being a new mother.
Julie, that picture is adorable i am so excited for you. thanks for sharing your story…my sister rode her bike for her first kid… apparently it speeds up the process! Stay strong girl you can do in natural if you want! cant wait to hear the baby news…im sure its just around the corner!
