From the Lego Star Wars Collection

Lego Star Wars

One of the traits of someone with Asperger’s and one of the reasons why I suspected Drew might have Asperger’s is focusing on one subject.  Now I know most kids go through phases.  My oldest son Daniel has.  First it was cars, then trains, then dinosauers and now Star Wars and Legos.  Drew has gone through phases too.  Mickey Mouse, Toy Story and now Lego Star Wars.  But with him it is different.  He lives and breathes Lego Star Wars.  He only wants to play with it.  He only wants to wear Lego Star Wars clothing.  Daniel loves it too but he seems to be just fine playing with other stuff.  Drew likes to talk about it all the time.  We were waiting in the EFMP office earlier this week and he just randomly started telling me about General Grievous.  He has picked up and learned a lot about all the characters in the books and movies.  He knows so much I bet he would be good at playing the Lego Star Wars Trivia game.  I remember playing this game when the 2nd set of movies came out and realizing how little I really knew about Star Wars.

Everytime he has show and tell at school, it is a Lego Star Wars.  He is always carrying around 1 or more of the little Lego Star Wars with him.  I am glad this is something I can enjoy with him.  I have always been a Star Wars fan and I use to play with Legos when I was little too.  Sometimes it does get to be a bit too much for me but overall his passion seems to be a good one.

Here are some fun Lego Star Wars things I have pined on Pinterest :)
