Simple, festive decorating ideas
Christmas can be a wonderful time of the year, as long as you are prepared. One of my favourite things about this season is that you get to decorate your home, and your children can have a lot of fun helping you out with this. If you are feeling creative, you could start by making some paper snowflakes to hang around your home. These are easy to make once you know how and can really give your rooms a festive look. Take a piece of paper, usually white if you want them to look like snowflakes, and cut it into a square or a circle. Fold this lightly in half and in half again, so that you have a few edges that you can cut shapes into. Cut v-shapes and half-circles into the edges, all the way along until you are happy. Then, carefully open up the paper to reveal your beautiful, delicate snowflake.
If you are having a party, then it is nice to hang some tinsel around the place and perhaps even some festive ornaments. This is such a wonderful time of the year that many people choose to get married around Christmas. If your mind is filled with invitations and engagement rings , then you may not have a lot of time top decorate your home, however it is very easy to just nip out to the shop and get some tinsel, come home and stick it above a door or around a mirror. That way, you will still feel festive even if you do not have much time to relax. Make sure that your family helps you decorate as if nothing else, this can be a great way to bond and have fun. It will make you all feel very festive and ready for Christmas and the month of December will be filled with anticipation and excitement.
