Back to good old Tennessee

Well my vacation is pretty much over.  Today we fly back to Tennessee.  I am NOT looking forward to flying by myself with three little boys.  It was not the plan but you know how the Army is, they like to change their mind a lot so I fly back by myself as my husband had to go back to work on Thursday.

I think I am as prepared as I can be.  My two oldest boys have their own backpack filled with toys, snacks, a change of clothes and a few other things.  I only wish you could still bring drinks on the plane.  UH!  That is an annoying rule.

It is going to be a very long  day and my 5 year old is already getting inpatient about it.

Say a prayer for us…we are going to need it.

Little Kids

Yesterday I got together with two of my best friends from high school.  C and I talk all the time and see each other every time I visit but I hadn’t seen B for about 11 years.  All our babies are 5 months apart.  Baby J is 20 months, C’s daughter is 15 months and B’s daughter is 10 month.  And they are all redheads!  Too cute!  We have 8 kids altogether.

There is just something so nice about being friends in jr.high and high school and being able to stay friends through the adult years.  People change a lot in all that time so I am very thankful we are all still friends.

I still remember when I met them in the 8th grade.  I had started going to a new school and didn’t know very many people and I sat next to them during lunch and we all just hit it off right away.  We have so many memories of high school years, dating boys, going to prom and going off to college.  And now we are making new memories as we sit around a park watching our kids play together 🙂  It really is nice.
