Our Daily Bread Devotional Bible Review

For over 50 years Our Daily Bread has touched the hearts and lives of millions of readers. Now, for the first time, the most widely used devotional in the English language is available as a daily devotional Bible. Featuring 365 devotions, this Bible offers the reader a way to spend time in God’s Word and find deeper meaning every day.

I had the chance to review Our Daily Bread Devotional Bible NLT.  Over the years I have read different devotional books but I love that this one is together with a Bible.  It makes it very easy to read some of the Bible and then have a devotional about it.  They asked me to go through at least one book of the Bible for my review.  I picked Ephesians since it is one of my favorite books of the Bible.  It starts out with information about the book.  Who the author was, when it was written, purpose, themes and an outline.  A couple of pages in there is a devotional about Ephesians 2:11-22, 4:1-3.  If you were to start the Bible on January 1st, this would be the devotion for November 16th.  It is really nice that there is one devotion a day.  This can help keep you on track with your devotions.  The devotions are also pretty short so they are easy to read everyday.  Ephesians had three devotions total but in bigger books of the Bible you would find more.  This book uses the NLT translation.

I also enjoyed the color of the pages.  White with green used for the book of the Bible and the Chapter numbers.

This book would make a great gift for someone for Christmas.  They could start right at the beginning of the year.

Disclosure: I received the book Our Daily Bread Devotional courtesy of Tyndale House Publishers. I was not compensated in any other way for this review. All views are my own.
