Hi there! I am Julie and Soldier’s Wife, Crazy Life is my blog.

I started this military spouse blog back in 2009 when we lived in Germany. The blog has grown and I love having my own space on the internet. You will find a few different types of posts on my blog. I write about military life topics, deployments, pcsing, and military life in general.

I have been married for 16 years and have three boys. They are 13, 11 and 7 years old. We have lived in California, Kentucky, Germany, and now Tennessee. In June of 2014, my husband went from Active Duty Army to Army National Guard. It has been quite a change for our family but a good one.

  2. Hi Julie,

Can you please tell me where you found the adorable month by month shirts that your precious baby is wearing in your photo? My son just turned one month old and I want to make sure I get a picture with something like this shirt. We decorated his room in sock monkeys, so this would be so perfect! Please email me and let me know where I may be able to find something like this, and it would be even better if it came in a printable format. Thanks so much.

  3. Hello,

My name is Ross, I relocated to South Korea a year ago from the USA and I am loving life here. I have been following the elections this year and have to say I’m really happy that I made it out of the country for all the craziness.

I enjoy writing and I would be happy to provide you with an article about moving to South Korea from the USA. There are so many people looking at Canada right now and I think South Korea is a much better choice. I know the process really well and also have some inside information because I do work importing and exporting.

    Regards,

    Ross

  5. Hello,

I am SGT Askie of the Florida Army National Guard. It is hard for me to write this, but I like it is time for me to my story in hope that it may help someone. In 2015 I deployed to Afghanistan and it completely changed my life. While in Afghanistan I invented a product call Rocket Bottle Plus; a rechargeable and portable blender. Shortly after returning home I invested all my savings into getting my product to market and lost it all partnering with the engineers and companies. I lost my family and the woman I was going to ask to marry. I was depressed and did not think I was going to be able to get out of the funk I was in. I reached out to my battle buddy I told him what I was going through; doing so was one of the hardest things I have had to do. As hard as that may have been for me to do it saved my life and business. I am now proud to say launching Rocket Bottle Plus July 1st! I hope you can share my story with others to let them know that there is always someone who is willing to listen and talk when we feel down or depress. Starting a business is hard, but starting a business while in the military is even harder.

You can find more information about my business at http://www.rocketbottleplus.com

    With love

  6. Hi Julie, I think you might like something that my late wife and I wrote to honor the men and women serving in the Armed Forces that won’t be home for Christmas;

The song, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” has always been a favorite of mine during the holidays, and I always wondered why the person wouldn’t be home at Christmas. After doing some research, I learned that this song was written in 1943, by Walter Kent (music) and James “Kim” Gannon (words).

In 1943, America was involved in WWII, and I believe that this song was written from the perspective of the American GI, being away from their loved ones during the Holidays. For many, this would have been the first time away. My father was one of those brave men that served during this time.

I then started to think about the men and women currently serving in the Armed Forces today, and felt this song needed a second verse, this one from the perspective of the loved ones.

So with help from my late wife, we wrote a 2nd verse to honor the men and women that may not be home for Christmas.

    They’ll be home for Christmas
    But in case they’re not
Say a prayer, hold them near
And keep them in your thoughts

    Christmas Eve may find them
    Far away from home
    Let them know they’re needed
    And that they’re not alone
    And that they’re not alone

  7. Hi,
Do you offer advertising space/article placement on soldierswifecrazylife.com ?
If so, how much would it cost for an article placement with a link to a games website in the article?

We will get the content written. It will be fully original and of excellent quality, it will fit the nature of your website, you will need just to publish it, if you like the text.
Alternatively, you can write the content by yourself, if you like.

We will pay you via Paypal (or credit card) once the article is live!

    How much would it cost?
