Military Spouse Spotlight
Military spouse life looks different for everyone. We are all on our journey. For some, we start out in our home state, easing into military life. For others, we find ourselves on an airplane, traveling to the other part of the world, wondering how we got there.
For some, deployments, they keep coming; for others, different challenges creep up and feel like they are hitting us in the face. From unemployment to the loss of friends and being too far from family. There is a lot to deal with in military life.
Some military spouses are stay-at-home parents; others run a business between PCS moves; and some are trying to figure out how to do both from a post or base far from anywhere they have ever known.
The Military Spouse Spotlight series shares real stories from military spouses in different seasons of this life. Writer Katie McDonald has captured their honest yet encouraging stories, from being new in a country to finding the balance between their career goals and the realities of military life.
Whether you are a new military spouse or have been one for years and years, you know the pressure that comes with figuring out your goals and how to thrive rather than just survive. This series will inspire you as you read about the unique opportunities each of these military spouses has been given, how they said “yes” to things, even those that scared them, and how they found their way to an amazing and beautiful path while being married to someone serving in the military.
