Buy Glasses Online With Firmoo Eyeglasses

Buy Glasses Online With Firmoo Eyeglasses

I have had to wear glasses from the time I was about 16 years old. Over the years I have worn so many different pairs of glasses. I would love to eventually get Lasik but it just isn’t possible right now. After I go to the eye doctor I usually like to buy at least two pairs of glasses, sometimes three. I like to change them out and have choices.

One of the ways I have been able to do this to buy some of them online. They are much more affordable then glasses you might find in the mall or other stores.

That was why I was excited to do a review of Firmoo Eyeglasses. I have never ordered from them before but I had a good experience when I did.

I got to look through a bunch of glasses to decide on which ones I wanted. I am pretty picky but found one that I thought I would like. You never know 100% when you are picking them online but I was very happy with what I got. I love the teal on the sides.

To order I needed to have my prescription handy and had to enter it in. I also needed to know my pupillary distance which is the distance between the centers of your pupils when looking straight ahead. You can figure this out using a ruler and a mirror or a friend or husband who is willing to help.

Once you have entered that information you can customise your glasses. You pick what type of package you want or customise to find what you are really looking for. You can also get your glasses non-RX if you would like.

If you visit the Daily New section you can see their updated selection. They add new frames everyday.

You can also get 15% off your first pair!

* I received a free pair of eyeglasses in exchange for this review. All thoughts are my own.

See’s Candies for Soldiers Program and Giveaway

June 17, 2015 by Julie 22 Comments

S

I love it when a product I already love and enjoy supports the troops. I have been a big fan of See’s Candies from the time I was a little girl. I get so excited when someone sends us a box of treats. That is why I was happy to see that they have a great program for supporting the troops.

It is called See’s for Soldiers. Starting June 19 through July 5, See’s will provide materials in its shops for customers to write personal notes of gratitude to our troops. They will also donate a lollypop for every note written!

See’s associates will collect these notes and deliver to See’s for Soldiers along with the lollypops for inclusion in their care packages. Customers and fans who are unable to visit a shop before July 5 can show their support by visiting www.sees.com/gratitude and completing an online form with their personal messages.

I am also going to be giving away a $15 Gift Card to See’s Candies. Just enter the Rafflecopter below 🙂

John Shaw’s Guide to Digital Nature Photography Book Review

June 2, 2015 by Julie 1 Comment

digital photography book

*I received a free copy of this book in hope of a review on my blog! This post includes affiliate links!

I was given the chance to review, John Shaw’s Guide to Digital Nature Photography. It is such a pretty book all about one of my favorite topics, taking pictures.

From Amazon… “Photography legend John Shaw returns with his much-anticipated guide to digital nature photography, complete with more than 250 extraordinarily beautiful photographs.

For over four decades, John Shaw’s authentic voice and trusted advice has helped photographers achieve impressive shots in the great outdoors. In his first-ever book on digital photography, Shaw provides in-depth advice on everything from equipment and lenses to thorough coverage of digital topics including how to use the histogram. In addition, he offers inspirational and frank insight that goes far beyond the nuts and bolts of photography, explaining that successful photos come from having a vision, practicing, and then acquiring the equipment needed to accomplish the intention. Easily digestible and useful for every type of photographer, and complete with more than 250 jaw-dropping images, John Shaw’s Guide to Digital Nature Photography is the one book you’ll need to beautifully capture the world around you.”

What I really liked about this photography book was all the photos that were included and all the good information he had. I have found that when you are explaining photography you must have a photo to show the reader what you are talking about. It makes it a lot easier to understand. You can also learn a lot about photography based on reading the information about the phone, which he has included.

I am also so glad he included Chapter Six: The Photographer at Work because it shows the reader what he personally uses and what life is really like working in the field. The other chapters are 1) Gear 2) Getting Started 3) Lenses 4) Composition 5) Close-Ups.

Whether you just bought your very first DSLR or you have had one for a while, you can get a lot out of this book. So check it out, it should help you along your photography journey.

I have been a fan of Michael W. Smith’s music for a very long time. That is why I was excited to hear about his latest album, Sovereign!

Here is his brand new video for the song Sky Spills Over, one of the songs from the album.

“I’m really passionate about the song SKY SPILLS OVER. It was fun creating it in the studio and I’ve been overwhelmed at the response it gets when we perform it live every night. My son Ryan is a really talented filmmaker so I always enjoy working with him on a project. But what made this project even more special was that 3 of my own grandkids were in the video. This video was a lot of fun to make. I hope people enjoy it!” Michael W. Smith

Here is what I recieved this month:Fit Snack Box

My Favorites:

As soon as I saw the trail mix I knew I had to eat some of it. I am a big trail mix fan. This one was pretty good. A great mix of foods.

The Beanfield Chips were pretty good too. I would like to eat them when I am having tacos or some other type of Mexican dish.

The Go Raw cookies were a great snack to have around the house.

Taste Guru Monthly Box Review

April 24, 2015 by Julie 1 Comment

taste guru monthly box

Monthly boxes! I love them! You can get them for a variety of products. As a Taste Guru Ambassador, I was able to review the most recent Taste Guru box full of yummy foods.

The theme of Taste Guru is the best and most interesting gluten free products. Whether you need to eat Gluten free or just choose to have some of those items on hand, this box is for you. As you can see from the photo above, I got a great variety of items. It’s a wonderful way to try a new product before you buy.

In my box I received:

Better Batter Fudge Brownie Mix

Tea’s Tea Green tea

Level Life Protein Snack Bar

Dang Coconut Chips

Mamma Chia Squeeze

Yum Earth Naturals Sour Beans

IPS Egg White Chips

Ass Kickin Honey Roasted Peanut

Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread

Swoffle Traditional Dutch Treat

I made the brownies last weekend not knowing what to expect. I have never made Gluten free brownies before. They were so good. My boys loved them too. I would buy that mix again to make for a dessert.

The coconut chips were different but I liked the taste. I also loved the protein bar and my son loved the sour beans.

We are still working on the other items in the box but they all look pretty good.

I like how each box comes with a decription of every product so you know what you are eating. On the back you also get a receipe. Mine was for Fudge Brownies using Gluten Free flour.

As someone who doesn’t eat Gluten free that often, I was really impressed with the box and would look forward to getting another one so that I can try some yummy and healthy foods.

March Fit Snack Monthly Box Review

April 21, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

fit snack box

It’s time for another Fit Snack box review! I am really enjoying these boxes! I was excited to get a new box so that I could try new foods. I had no idea what would be in the box. Once again I was very happy with it.

My top three favorites!!!

Biosanes-Magic cookies that are perfect for a meal replacement or just a healthy snack. I ate this one for breakfast. I am not a big fan of breakfast but if I skip it I don’t feel well and that isn’t good. I would say this cookie could be an option for me. It was oatmeal raisin and although I am not one to pick that type of cookie if I had the choice, it was good for breakfast.

Mov’It- They are “Mommy’s fruit snacks” and help fight fatigue with energy boosting vitamins, ribose, guarana and taurine. I have been eating them in the afternoons when I have a lot to do and start to feel a little sluggish. For years I would drink an afternoon cup of coffee and these can help get me away from that.

Bio Coffee- This reminded me of the coffee you can get in Germany. It was yummy. It is the world’s first Alkaline coffee and gives you a good energy boost without all the harmful side effects.

fit snack box

It’s so nice they include a nice Product Information list too.

fit snack box

My box also included, Sweetwood Cattle Co. Beef Jerky, Keen One Quinoa Chocolate Nut Krunch, Flamous Falafel Chips, Detour Smart Whole Grain Oatmeal with Blueberries low sugar bar and Wowbutter, peanut butter replacement.

Fit Snack is applying the social model to its partners as well. In order to share exclusive behind the brand views, Fit Snack will showcase a “Brands We Love” interview every month, which will highlight the history of a Fit Snack partner as well as go into detail about how their product is made.

Fit Snack offers several different subscription plans including 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and annual subscription options. Monthly box prices
start at $15.00 (+ $5
S/H) and provide double that value within each box.

Would you like to order one??? You can do so here…

My Daddy is a Soldier Book Review

April 20, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

books for military kids

I love it when Military spouses write books. They can bring reality to the subject they are writing about and have a good point of view on the subject.

I was given the chance to review the book, My Daddy is a Soldier. Written and Illustrated by Brittany Mayfield.

The book is written from the point of view of a child talking about their father who is a soldier. It talks about what he can do because he is one. The illustrations show a multicultural mix of soldiers which is nice to see.

books for military kids

This book is perfect for the Military child. Either those first learning to read or to be read to by a parent or older sibling.

The book is available in paperback on Amazon 🙂

* I was provided a free copy of the book for review!
